Not sure this is a good thing…

Thanks (I think) to Gary Zimmerli for the link…

Update: evidently after making a few more posts today, I’ve managed to pull my site’s ranking down. Go figure…

I think it’s good — congratulations! Only page 3 of my blog showed up as “genius” :)

    ElShaddai,

I’ve been noticing that most of us with high ratings are very cautious about it, taking it with a grain of salt at least; perhaps realizing that we should consider simplifying our writing style. (?)

My blog rates at Post Grad; the other blog I write for my church rates at a High School level.

It’s fun. I don’t think anybody is taking it to seriously. ;-)

Yes, I was gratified to learn that my family blog only rated a High School reading level. Though that blog is mostly photos and captions.

It would be interesting to compare our blog “reading levels” with the reading level of the various Bible translations we prefer. That is, are we naturally wired to read/write in a more simple or more sophisticated/complex manner. For example, I’ve gone back to a NASB+REB combo, both translations with fairly high reading levels (12+). Hmmm… that might be worth a new post/survey.

Actually, I first saw it on the In Ephesus – Thoughts and meditations blog yesterday, BTW.

  • Words wither and blogs fade away…

Forgive me if you’ve heard this song before, but I've decided to stop blogging at He is Sufficient. I truly appreciate all of the wit, wisdom and words of faith that you have shared with me over the past few years. I wish you well in all of your endeavors, whatever they may be and wherever they may lead you. “God is sufficient for the needs of His people”. Amen!
