Sin and death are pictured as "no more", and the "so what" is addressed in verse 2: "go to a world that is dying, His perfect salvation to tell". "Perfect" means "complete"; salvation without the Parousia is incomplete (Hebrews 9:8, among others)! ;) I've always loved this song. Wow – I never realized what a Kingdom song this was!
