The NET Bible website has details on a new Compact Edition of that translation, available in a variety of cover styles.
The physical size is 4½”x6¾” with 8pt text and 5.5pt notes. From the sample pages, the notes appear to be the same as those in the Reader’s Edition. Interestingly, the publishers appear to have created a new typesetting rather than simply shrinking the pages of the Reader’s Edition (as many publishers do to create compact editions). This means that page numbers will not match between the two, but I doubt that’s a significant issue.
The Compact Edition includes a concordance with 6,300 entries, something not included with the First Edition or Reader’s Edition. Other details seem to be the same as those prior editions.
The website says the new edition will be shipping the week after Thanksgiving, that is, the week of November 25 for those outside the United States.

For a smyth-sewn bible, I think $20 is a really good deal and they do look beautiful. But if I were to buy a NET bible, I’d personally consider going for a first edition with the 60,000 translator notes. It would be more useful for my purposes.
Yes, I agree, Kevin, the value appears to be outstanding for what it is. I just really wish that they’d produce a hardback First Edition – I don’t need to buy leather (bonded or otherwise) for a Bible that will essentially be a reference book for study.
