Next Great American Band: DMHO, Round 5

fox_american_band.jpgDMHO survived their “white funk” performance on The Next Great American Band to play again, this time a rendition of “I’m Free” by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards (it was a Rolling Stones “theme week” – all the bands played songs written by the Stones).

It was a solid performance, but the judges clearly now want them to stay in a more blues-focused style rather than jumping around in somewhat different styles each week. It’ll be interesting to see if a tight swing band can get darker, edgier, bluesier and do it consistently (or if they even want to).

Interesting to also note that the band has had to already postpone or cancel tour dates in late November and early December as they continue to survive elimination on the show.

Forgive me if you’ve heard this song before, but I've decided to stop blogging at He is Sufficient. I truly appreciate all of the wit, wisdom and words of faith that you have shared with me over the past few years. I wish you well in all of your endeavors, whatever they may be and wherever they may lead you. “God is sufficient for the needs of His people”. Amen!
