Let the little children come to me…

“And fathers, don’t stir up anger in your children, but bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.” Ephesians 6:4 (HCSB)

Children can be exasperating. Especially sons who roll out of bed running and don’t stop go, go, going until their eyelids are finally too heavy at the end of the day to stay open. But there are always (one or two) moments in the day when the time and energy you invest in them has its payoff:

Never mind Ben’s cup which was upside down and dripping milk on the floor… really not a big deal in the long run. Floors can be cleaned, just like our hearts and minds when we stop our busyness and spend time in prayer.

God bless you, Dad! Bring him up in the knowledge and fear of the Lord!

Well, looks like his prayer was answered - surely you didn’t spank him after that! ;)

Thanks everyone! Ben is a good kid and it’s hard not to dote on him every once in a while. Now, lest his brother feel neglected, here’s a shot of Sam too.
