Iyov, Marilyn Monroe and parental controls

As the parent of an increasingly computer-savvy and Internet-surfing four year old boy, it’s not unreasonable to put a few protective measures in place in case he clicks on something that we’d rather not have him see. So I was adjusting the parental controls of Zone Alarm this morning and found that I get the following warning when attempting to browse Iyov’s blog:

Undoubtedly this is due to Iyov’s posting of the racy photos of Marilyn Monroe reading Ulysses in her summer pool garments.

Sigh, now I have to decide whether my son’s potential viewing of ladies’ undergarments and swimsuits is more inflammatory than my reading of Iyov’s blog…

That’s hilarious! Well, I don’t know what to do — I suppose I could contact them and ask them to take my blog off the list (removing the photos).

Don’t worry about it – I’ll “request a reevaluation” and hopefully they’ll reconsider… it was good for a laugh this morning!

I removed the racier of the two photos, so please let me know how it goes — I want to be clean!

It seems to be working now with the filter on… go figure. Maybe it was the photo, maybe you were collateral damage from Google’s shutdown of the anti-Obama blogger crew.

  • Words wither and blogs fade away…

Forgive me if you’ve heard this song before, but I've decided to stop blogging at He is Sufficient. I truly appreciate all of the wit, wisdom and words of faith that you have shared with me over the past few years. I wish you well in all of your endeavors, whatever they may be and wherever they may lead you. “God is sufficient for the needs of His people”. Amen!
