My "recommendation" was fully tongue-in-cheek, as I too would have no use for such a piece of history. That said, I do appreciate your efforts to bring our attention to the Geneva Bible.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention, but you can buy a facsimile edition from Hendrickson, which will for most people will be nicer than the original, for $40 ($70 for leather) from online retailers. I don't want to own something as expensive and requiring as much care as a 16th century book.

@Dave - thanks for the links! I guess I shouldn't be surprised, but I wasn't aware there were so many of these older ("ancient"!) editions still publicly available, much less sold on eBay.

@TC - the only date provided was 1560, which, combined with the First Edition label, is where I'd presume to start. I assume that is a photo of the actual Bible. Check out the storefront link that Dave provided to see more old leather!

I love the look of this Bible. Is that what it actually looks like? What's the age of the Bible?

I'm actually surprised these aren't from Greatsite. That place has pretty much cornered the market on antique Bibles (they call them "ancient," which seems odd to me). Here is the storefront for the seller of that item. Cool stuff.
